EH Architect is a multi-disciplinary hands-on design firm, combining architecture, interior design and construction supervision, to deliver a complete balanced and unique project.

Renovation, new construction, interior design. We also do construction supervision and management, guiding our clients through every step to make the process easier for them, ensuring their dreams and aspirations are brought to reality.

Evelyn Herrera
FOUNDER, ARCHITECT & DESIGNER
Born in New York City, but growing up in Uruguay, Evelyn’s passion for Architecture and Design started at a very early age. Rather than playing with dolls, Evelyn was creating layouts with lego!
In 2001 she graduated as an Architect from the Universidad de Arquitectura de la República del Uruguay. During that time, she had the opportunity to spend 10 months on an academic trip, travelling around the globe visiting and studying some of the most spectacular buildings and architecture from each continent.
This experience increased her depth of knowledge, broadening and enriching her design aesthetic and giving her a more global perspective in her work. This is something that her clients continually benefit from.
In addition to architecture & design, Evelyn also set up her own woodwork shop in 2003, a company focused on highly customized millwork.This experience gave her exceptional practical knowledge about working with wood, that could not be taught in a classroom and she continues using in all of her projects!
Over the course of several years, she completed numerous projects in Uruguay, including new construction and renovations, particularly in world-renowned Punta del Este, somewhere that holds a special place in her heart, and where she continues to have family ties and projects.
In 2009 she moved to NYC, where her portfolio of projects continues to expand, both in residential and commercial. She has also developed a large international network of clients and has completed projects from Europe, to Central & South America. She is always focused on high quality and functional architecture which maximizes the potential of each space. She is unique in her ability to bring together architecture and interior design, envisioning the entire project for her clients.
